Hu Zhengwei, a 34-year-old signalman in the First Engineering Company of China Railway Electrification Bureau Group, was awarded the title of "National Model Worker" just like his respected predecessor Ju Xiaolin.
In the past 14 years, Hu Zhengwei has been rooted in the first line of construction, and has successively participated in many urgent and dangerous construction projects such as the second line of Jibao, the Beijing-Guangzhou line, the Kunming-Guangzhou line, and the Dali speed-up reconstruction project. After being honed by many construction fronts, has completed various tasks with high efficiency and high quality.

In the autumn harvest season of 1986, the farmer named Hu in Wuqiang Village of Shangqiu City was very happy with his son. His father was very fond of reading and saw that his son was full of face and strong, so he was named Zhengwei.

The article "Zhan Tianyou" in the textbook, between the lines, makes him vaguely moved: the national industry and industry serve the country, and the image of Zhan Tianyou is lingering in my heart.
On May 15th, 2005, 19-year-old Hu Zhengwei walked out of the school gate without much luggage, but the pace of going to the station was not as brisk as before. It is melancholy to bid farewell to his classmates, and what is more important is that his father let him make up his mind: whether to return to Sangzi or join the railway?
Three days later, Xiao Hu reported at Zhuji Station of Zhejiang-Jiangxi Electrified Railway Reconstruction Project. According to the tradition of China Railway Electrification Bureau, newcomers have to pass the test, and this test is to pass the labor barrier. The on-site master admires the professional knowledge of "student soldiers", but it is generally believed that the will of young people needs to be tempered. The next day, the Xiaohu approach caught up with the start of the "Hundred Days Competition for Cable Trench Excavation".
Flying around Dai Yue every day, I slept in a low, wet shop and walked on a muddy and rugged mountain road. High-intensity work, sometimes I can fall asleep against a tree, and several students have been transferred. But Hu Zhengwei, who believes that heaven rewards hard work, is confident and not afraid of hardship. In three months, people lost a circle and got a layer of darkness, but Hu Zhengwei, who was well prepared physically and mentally, stood the test. In the eyes of Master and his workmates, he stepped onto the podium and received the certificate of "Advanced Individual in Competition".
In October of the same year, Xiao Hu was fortunate to meet a famous teacher-signal expert Tian Ruichao. The first lesson is completely new. It was a morning off from work. Master Tian and Xiao Hu got up at 4 a.m. and caught the bus to the Qiantang River Bridge without saying anything. After standing by the bridge for two hours, I turned back to the construction site.
For many years, the master and the apprentice never mentioned that scene. However, at that time, the clever Xiao Hu understood Master’s intention: qiantang bore, which was "full of frost and snow", can have spectacular memories, and it is important to look at the bridge. Just as Mao Yisheng, the "father of Chinese bridges" and the designer of Qiantang River Bridge, stated in his poem that "life is like a journey, and crossing the bridge means struggle".
In the atmosphere of "mentors and apprentices" in China Railway Electrification Bureau, Xiao Hu, a labor dispatch worker, worshipped a famous teacher and learned real skills. He studied hard and took the signal major of Beijing Jiaotong University.

In the new Beijing EMU project, he first proposed to use the "well" bracket for cable winding, which realized the first-class design intention of "improving work efficiency, saving space and beautiful technology" between cables in domestic railway signal professional units and saved the cost by 219,000 yuan. In the reconstruction project of Kunming-Guangzhou Expressway signal, he participated in the development of the overall mobile tool for railway signal cabinet, which improved the work efficiency by 30% and saved the cost by 99,000 yuan, and won the third prize of the 72nd QC group conference in Beijing.
The signal system installation project of Shanghai Rail Transit Line 10 was crucial, and he led a team to fight for 72 hours in an oxygen-deficient underground tunnel, which ensured that the major nodes of Shanghai municipal engineering were completed as scheduled. He actively contributed suggestions to the signal professional and technical research team of Huangcun Station on Beijing-Kowloon Railway, and worked together to overcome the bottleneck of the project. He was awarded the medal of "the vanguard of electrical construction and the iron team to overcome difficulties" by the construction headquarters. In order to ensure the opening of Tianjin Metro Line 3 as scheduled, he and QC team worked together to optimize the construction organization plan of "improving the drilling speed at the top of tunnel" and won the first prize in Beijing and the national first prize.
Xiao Hu took the initiative to find Pan Yunqing, the head of the R&D team of Master Ju Xiaolin’s work sub-room, to express his willingness to learn and formally join the R&D team of the studio. After one year, the Portable Railway Signal Universal Analog Disk developed by the research group obtained the patent certificate of utility model.
In the battle of Kunming-Guangzhou reconstruction project in 2017, Xiao Hu led 420 employees, held up the banner of Worker Pioneer, and commanded nine operation teams to carry out construction at the same time, which ensured the construction of the excellent project of "zero violation of regulations, zero hidden dangers in posts and zero defects in management". In 2018, in the signal reconstruction construction of Hualanqing Station on Dali Line, in the face of the crisp and narrow pedals of the high-altitude and mountainous suspended bridge, in order to solve the problem that the working face could not be fully developed, he hung a traction rope around his waist and resolutely staged the "Brave Flying Crossing" at an altitude of 100 meters.
In the reconstruction of Kunming Railway Station, the old cable shaft and interlayer contain a lot of harmful gases. Hu Zhengwei proposed the working method of "one test, two rows, three tests and four downs". Every time I go down to the well, no one can beat Xiao Hu, who calls himself the "demining captain". During the company’s labor competition of "fighting epidemic and ensuring growth", he issued a "military order" to lead party member commandos to beijing-harbin railway, and adopted the closed-loop assembly line method of "preventing and controlling people and putting responsibilities in place", with a construction period of 40 days and completion in 27 days. The bottleneck of signal interlocking equipment installation test was broken, and the construction period was advanced by 18%.
Every time faced with an urgent and dangerous task, Hu Zhengwei, as a communist party member, has always maintained the attitude of taking the lead. From an ordinary worker to the vice captain, to the captain, from the deputy project manager to the manager, time is changing, and the position is changing, but what remains unchanged is the initial heart, which is the source of his belief.

Hu Zhengwei’s wife, who is also an electrification employee, wholeheartedly supports Xiao Hu’s work and has been accompanying him around the construction site.
In 2014, Hu Zhengwei was in charge of Hohhot South Station, which had the largest construction task in the second line of Inner Mongolia Jibao, and the opening task was very heavy. It happened that my eldest son was born prematurely and my wife was pregnant with hypertension. It was not until she pushed into the operating room that her wife asked her father-in-law to inform her husband who was far away from the construction site.
Xiao Hu only stayed with his wife for a week and then hurried back to the scene. When he picked up his son for the second time, it was more than three months later. Due to his wife and son, Xiao Hu secretly vowed in his heart: In the days to come, he must make up for his family twice. However, Xiao Hu, who devoted himself to the project, "lost his words" again and again.
In the Spring Festival of 2020, an epidemic caused all projects to press the pause button. Just as the second son was about to be born, Xiao Hu was originally isolated at home like everyone else. However, as the assembly number of "fighting against epidemic and ensuring growth" sounded, the signal specialty of Beijing-Guangzhou Railway demanded to return to work quickly. At this time, Er Er was not yet full moon, his parents were worried, and his wife silently packed his bags for him. With nostalgia and reluctance, Xiao Hu once again embraced his family and ran to the station, never daring to look back.
In Hu Zhengwei’s computer, there is an encrypted folder. The LOGO on it is heart-shaped, and the password is the combination of the birthdays of the loved ones and children. The content is 21 letters from home that will be treasured forever.
Xiao Hu is modest and smiling is his label. His motto in life is: "To be a happy person is beneficial to others and selfless to yourself!" " His requirements for himself are: to be a "competent" manager at work and to be a "warm-hearted" Hu Ge in life.
At the end of 2018, Hu Zhengwei officially joined the work room of "Ju Xiaolin National Skill Master" in a branch company of China Railway Electrochemical Bureau Group. In his letter to his wife, he called it a "happy moment". In the construction of Beijing subway in 2019, he submitted a proposal to the studio: promoting the transformation of innovation achievements and inheriting the unique mechanism platform from generation to generation, which was quickly promoted.
Xiao Hu has a "five theories" of "sentimentality, righteousness, fun, taste and promising", which has been recognized by his colleagues. Like all young people, Xiao Hu has his own poems and distant places. Love life, he likes to cook for his family and workers, and his craft is better than that of the town chef. His wife nicknamed him "the chef who knows martial arts".
