When I saw these fault codes, I already had a clue in my heart. Look at the fault code information, the core fault code, respectively.
Through this fault code, there were 34 times. When there is a problem with the position sensor, the computer can’t correctly identify the relative position, and then can’t determine the correct ignition time, which will lead to a failure that is not easy to start and takes a long time to start. It is consistent with the failure phenomenon described by the owner, and the position sensor is removed.
There are a lot of iron chips and oil stains on it. The sensor is a Hall sensor. The cause of the failure is the failure of the internal coil. After communicating with the customer, it was replaced.

Second, the mixture is too thin, and the oil-gas separator leaks.
Under the condition of idling hot car, check the opening by computer, read 3.3 groups of data streams, and the value is only 0.39%, but it runs normally, and the normal opening is greater than 1, even if it has just been cleaned, it is more than 1. Therefore, it can be judged that there is air leakage at the back end, and it is determined that the air leakage point is located in the oil-gas separator through further inspection.
Remove and replace.
Re-read 3.3 data streams after replacement, and the data returned to normal.
The value at idle speed is 1.18%.

These two faults are all common problems of EA888, and they were solved easily without any special effort, mainly because there are more problems encountered at ordinary times, so there are fewer detours.
