　　Xinhua News Agency, Lhasa, November 18 (Reporter Liu Hongming, Bai Shaobo) The reporter learned from the Seismological Bureau of Xizang Autonomous Region that at 06: 34 on November 18, an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.9 occurred in Milin County, Linzhi City, with a focal depth of 10 kilometers. Seven counties (districts) in the city have obvious earthquakes, and no casualties have been reported yet. Some roofs in Lulang Town, Bayi District fell off, houses were shattered, and some villages were blacked out.

　　After preliminary understanding, the earthquake in Milin County and the area near the epicenter was strong. The roof of Lulang Town in Bayi District fell off, the houses in Zhaxigang Village and Luobu Village were shattered, and all the villages in Layue were blacked out. There were no reports of casualties.

　　Basang Tsering, secretary of the Party branch of Zhaxigang Village, Lulang Town, said that when the earthquake occurred, the house shook so badly that it was unstable to stand in the house. It was the first time for him to experience such a strong earthquake. At present, there are cracks in five or six houses.

　　The reporter learned from State Grid Xizang Electric Power Co., Ltd. that as of 8: 00 on the 18th, Xizang Power Grid and Linzhi Power Grid were operating normally, and the company had started the earthquake emergency response mechanism.

　　After the earthquake, the Linzhi Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government launched the earthquake emergency plan in the city for the first time, and all counties (districts) and villages conducted detailed investigations to comprehensively verify the relevant situation. Xizang Autonomous Region Seismological Bureau, China Seismological Bureau and China Seismological Network Center are having a video conference on the earthquake situation and disaster situation in the earthquake area, and the earthquake emergency field team is rushing to the earthquake-stricken area.
