A reporter asked: The US White House website released a message on the 7th that US President Biden signed into law the so-called "US-Taiwan 21st Century Trade Initiative Agreement Implementation Act" that day. What is the spokesman’s comment on this?
The spokesman pointed out that China has always resolutely opposed any form of official exchanges between countries that have established diplomatic relations and Taiwan, China, including the negotiation and signing of any agreements of a sovereign and official nature. The actions of the United States violate the one-China principle and Three Joint Communiqués regulations, violate the promise made by the United States to maintain unofficial relations with Taiwan only, and send a wrong signal to the "Taiwan independence" separatist forces.
"China’s will to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity is unshakable. We urge the US to immediately change course and cancel the so-called ‘ Act ’ , stop pushing ‘ Initiative ’ Negotiation, don’t go further and further on the wrong road. " The spokesman said.
